Copernicia Cerifera(Carnauba) Wax
Carnauba Wax is a natural vegetable wax from the leaves of the palm Copernicia Cerifera, native to Brazil. Notto be confused with palm oil. Its name, Copernicia, was given in honor of the Polish astronomer Copernicus. Theleaves secrete a waxy powder that protects them from dehydration and heat. Carnauba has a particularly high melting point helping our formulas to remain stable in varying conditions. With its composition of fatty acid esters, it has strong film-forming power helping it to effectively protect the epidermis. Glyceryl Behenate
Glyceryl Behenate is an ester emollient of fatty acid behenic acid that aids the integration of key ingredients into skin’s surface while helping to impart a smooth, soft feel and increase viscosity. Glyceryl Behenate is a functionalcomponent we use in place of petroleum. In skincare, behenic acid has lubricant, emollient, and soothingproperties, which help to restore the skin's natural oils and improve overall hydration. Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil
Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil is highly sustainable expressed oil of vegetable origin cosisting primarly of triglycerides of fatty acids. Hydrogenation results in the conversion of liquid vegetable oils to solid or semi-solid fats which are emollient, and offer significant skin conditioning properties. Hydrogenation is a safe alternative to synthetic emulsifiers such as PEG, which have very negative health effects. The hydrogenation process makes unsaturated fats more saturated givng them a higher melting temperature and longer shelf life. We use Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil to increase the viscosity of our formulas and as a skin conditioning ingredient, which acts to add lipids to the top layers of the stratum corneum. EWG Rating: 1

The Mango Industry demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability. They are not just carbon neutral but they have a carbon negative footprint. Mango trees are super absorbers of CO² absorbing significantly more greenhouse gases than their production process. Within every colorful mango is a woody kernel packed withnutrient-dense fats. Mentha Piperita(Peppermint) Oil
Originally native to the Mediterranean region, Peppermint is now grown worldwide and has been used holistically since ancient times. Our peppermint oil is triple distilled to acheive the perfect sweet fragrance and flavor for our winter balms. The main active in peppermint oil is menthol. When formulated properly, studies show menthol can have an anti-inflammatory effect, help soothe irritation, and reduce redness due to menthol's cooling effect, The safety rating of this does not account for the added distillation and precise formulating we do to ensure it’s level of use is appropriate, benefitcial, and safe. Mentha Spicata Leaf Extract
We use a whole leaf spearmint processed in-house for our lip exfoliants. It’s made in small batches from organic dried spearmint leaves creating a finely milled exfoliant that produces our gentle, yet effective, lip scrubs. Spearmint is believed to be a natural exfoliant revealing a new layer of skin when used. Formulating with spearmint increase skin’s resilience and elasticity and often imparts a cooling sensation, Spearmint can also help to relieve skin irritants associated with dryness. Menthyl Lactate
Menthyl lactate is an active cooling agent that gives the skin a pleasant, intense, and prolonged feeling of freshness on the skin. Not to be confused with Menthol which can be very irritating. Our Menthyl Lactate is a plant derived ester of natural menthol and lactic acid, a highly effective active thanks to the water-binding ability of the lactic acid. Menthyl Lactate also acts like an NMF, promoting skin hydration. It also stimulates and improves skin renewal rate. Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil
Oil from the Moringa Seed has been used for centuries to treat skin disorders. Moringa butter is an ideal moisturizer for healing and soothing dry skin. In Senegal, the Moringa Tree is referred to as the Nebeday, translated it means: "The tree that never dies." The butter we use in our formula comes from pressing the moringa seeds which are full of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin C, calcium, and potassium. Nannochloropsis Oculata, a potent marine algae used in our fomula for its extensive nutrient profile. Our bioactive compound contains omega 3 fatty acids, amino acids, and vitamins A, B, C, and E. Organic Sucrose
Organic Sucrose, or sugar, is used in our natural lip scrubs as an exfoliant. Different substances form different crystal shapes, but all crystals of the same substance have the same shape. Sugar crystals form hexagonal pilars with a mix of rounded and sharp angled edges. Salt crystals on the other hand, are always squares with all sharp corners. The shape of sugar crystals make them a more gentle exfoliant for the delicate skin on our lips. We are confidant in our supply chain of organic sustainable sugar. EWG Rating: 1
Oryza Sativa (Rice) BranExtract
Rice Bran Extract is a natural botanical rich in vitamins B, D, and E along with micronutrients and antioxidantcompounds that function as key hydrating ingredients. Originating in Japan, and made by processing the hull or bran layer of rice, rice bran oil is able to penetrate beneath the surface layers of skin to deliver nutrients. 2 key fatty acids, linoleic acid and oleic acid, are both known to be highly compatible with natural lipids found in our own skin, allowing for maximum absorption and protection against oxidative damage, Rice bran oil is packed with gamma-oryzanol which has been shown to reduce inflammation. Avocado is a vitamin-packed fruit with incredible health benefits both in AND outside of your body. A soft pliable plant-derived wax acts as a natural emulsifier, functions as a film former, emollient, and plasticizer. Porphyra Umbilicalis is a red algae native to the Menor Sea in Spain. This seaweed contains the highest levels of protein and amino acids of its species and is rich in mycosporine amino acids due to its extended exposure to the sun. Red algae has been known to show significant effects in skin protection against UV radiation, prevent DNA damage, reduce inflammation, and promote cell renewal.
